ExitPoint Skydiving App
Last updated: August 20, 2026
What data we collect and why
ExitPoint Skydiving is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not use advertising trackers. Website analytics are only used if you accept them, as described below.
When you use ExitPoint Skydiving the following data processing occurs:
- Google Maps — Maps are powered by the Google Maps API. When maps load, Google receives your IP address and map interaction data in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. We do not control or have access to this data.
- Location and GPS — Several tools, including Inflight Mode, Flying Blind, and map-based tools, use your device's location while the app is open, to show your position, calculate distances, and support in-flight guidance. Location is only accessed while you're actively using the app, never in the background, and is not stored on our servers or linked to your account.
- QR code display — Some tools, including Find My Main and the XC tool's plan sharing, let you generate a QR code on screen so another person can scan it with their own device. ExitPoint Skydiving does not access your device's camera for this feature.
- Supabase — Our backend infrastructure is provided by Supabase. Your IP address is transmitted with API requests. If you create an account, your email address and a hashed password are stored securely on Supabase servers located in the European Union.
- Settings and preferences — Tool settings and preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
- Cookies: besides the functional cookie that remembers whether the sidebar is open, we store your cookie choice, and PostHog cookies are only set if you accept analytics.
Analytics on the website
On the ExitPoint website we use PostHog to understand how the site is used, so we can improve the tools. This only happens if you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Reject, nothing is tracked and nothing is stored on your device.
When you accept, PostHog records page visits, clicks, how long pages are used, technical errors and page load speed, and may record replays of how you move around the site. Text you type is hidden in recordings. We never record messages, gear market chats, feedback, login, profile or admin pages, and location coordinates are never sent to PostHog. If you are logged in, your activity is linked to your account through an anonymous ID, never your email address.
PostHog stores the data on servers in the EU and does not store your IP address. Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months and session recordings for up to 30 days. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. You can change your choice whenever you like through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
The ExitPoint mobile app does not use analytics.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at contact@exitpointskydiving.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Regulations tool
When you ask a question in the Regulations tool, we store the question, the answer and which rule sections were used, so we can improve the answers and fix mistakes. To limit how many questions can be asked per day, we use a random ID stored on your device and an anonymized code created from your internet connection. We never store your IP address itself, and the code changes every day. Questions and the related data are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Data retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing contact@exitpointskydiving.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app develops. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
